1. Diversity and Inclusion Sensitization Training Initiative
We conducted Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) sensitization training across the organization to promote awareness, inclusive behaviors, and a culture of respect and belonging. The initiative enhanced cultural awareness, strengthened collaboration, and reinforced our commitment to equity and inclusion in the workplace.
2. Listening and Learning Through the D&I Pulse Survey
To better understand employee experiences, we conducted a D&I Pulse Survey that gathered valuable feedback on diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization. The insights helped identify strengths and improvement areas, enabling us to enhance inclusive practices, refine policies, and reinforce our commitment to a workplace where every voice matters.
3. Amplifying Employee Voices through Storytelling
To foster an inclusive workplace, we interviewed female employees across departments to celebrate their diverse experiences, achievements, and unique professional insights. Shared both internally and externally, these stories promote a culture of belonging, enhance organizational transparency, and strengthen our employer brand as a champion of equity and empowerment.
4. Advancing Diversity in Recruitment Practices
To build a more inclusive workforce, we improved our hiring practices. We partnered with platforms that support women and underrepresented groups, created gender balanced shortlists, and trained interviewers to reduce unconscious bias.
These actions widened our talent pool and made our hiring decisions fairer. Ultimately, this has created a more welcoming culture and strengthened our reputation as an employer that offers equal opportunities for everyone.

Manufacturing has traditionally been a male dominated industry, but Evonith Steel is changing this by hiring and supporting women in many areas like operations, engineering, finance, and safety. By encouraging diversity at every level, we are building a more inclusive workplace and setting a new standard for the future of manufacturing.
6. Establishing Structures for Long-Term D&I Progress
To ensure lasting progress, we created a Diversity and Inclusion Council made up of senior leaders, women professionals, young employees, and other team members. This council creates inclusive policies, leads our diversity strategy, and handles employee concerns fairly and openly. Employees appreciate this new system because it brings transparency and accountability to the workplace. Through regular open conversations, the council helps make diversity and inclusion a permanent part of our company culture so we can grow alongside the needs of our people.
